There was a time, till 1950s, when most of the casinos in Las Vegas were known for providing different variants of Blackjack to their customers.  These variants were governed by the “Las Vegas Strip Rules” and the best thing about these rules was that house edge of these games was lower than 0.1 percent.  Majority of the players visiting the casinos on the strip opted to play Classic Blackjack which is played with a single deck with a payout of 3:2. Due to the advent of card counting techniques, these casinos were forced to make some changes in the original Blackjack rules thus giving birth to the new variants of Blackjack which use different numbers of playing card decks usually ranging from six to eight decks.  This change not only made card counting more difficult but it also increased the house advantage for this game from 0.58 to 0.61 percent.
