MXO Recursion Recursion is one of the servers for Matrix Online. Matrix Online is a relatively new MMORPG developed by Monolith in association with the Wachowski brothers. It is based on the movie trilogy and begins after the end of the final movie. There is an uneasy truce between the Zionites and the Machines after the actions of the ever heroic Neo. But the two are far from friends as the Zionites are still trying to free the humans which the Machines need for their survival. This leads to several inevitable skirmishes between the two factions. And just to spice things up the Exiles, headed by the stylish Merovingian, are wreaking havoc against both sides. Forming something on a par with a criminal mafia they offer help and attack the other factions in equal measure. No one is quite sure what their motives are. Players can accept missions from any of the three factions, but doing so will make their reputation with the rival factions take a hit.
