Dungeon and Dragon Online Strategy

In coming up with a strategy for Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach, one important thing needs to be remembered: everyone is different. That means that although several general rules can be lain down, none of them are absolute. If at any time you feel that something doesn’t apply to you, your style of play, your particular situation or that you simply don’t agree with it, then please just disregard the comments altogether.

With that out of the way let’s explore some general strategies to help make us all better players. Now, a lot of guides already exist for particular MMORPGs, and even for particular subjects within those games. So, instead of simply echoing their words, we can instead explore the concept of a good player, and how to make other players know that you are a good player.

Being a good player has to be, first and foremost, natural. This doesn’t mean that if you haven’t been playing well so far you never can. It simply means that you can’t trick other people into thinking you are good; you simply have to be good. A good player is someone who knows his/her character well. Know your skills, abilities, place in a group and most importantly know your limitations. Characters are not invincible. They do get hurt, they do die and they do have limits. Take for example a cleric. Clerics are excellent healers and they can even play god with their ability to raise the dead. But charge into a mob of enemies and you, and your group will soon be flying to heaven, or wherever else your bind spot maybe. So know your limitations and understand what is expected of you in a group. If you don’t like playing that role, then change your character; choose a different class which you will enjoy playing as.

Stay prepared. If you keep your character prepared for almost any eventuality other players, who didn’t have the foresight to do the same will be extremely impressed. Players who were impressed by you will want to group with you again. Help others when you can. If helping them wouldn’t put you too far off course then take out a few minutes to help them out, they will appreciate it.

There are plenty of other ways in which to give people the right impression, but we don’t have space to discuss them all here. www.ccxgames.com offers various services and help relating to D&D Online, so visit our website and see what we can do for you.
