Cheat DDO As with most MMORPGs, Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach doesn¡¯t have cheats in the usual sense. Similar to the way that even single player games don¡¯t usually allow cheats during multi player mode. The two main types of ¡®cheats¡¯ that exist for MMORPGs are thus: Hacks and Bots. Hacks are third party programs which allow a player to do things which would otherwise be deemed impossible in the usual game mechanics. A very good, and common, example of this is the speed hack. A speed hack, as the name implies, allows players to move their characters at a much faster rate than would otherwise be possible. This in turn leads to faster completion of quests and other objectives. Bots on the other hand are not always third party programs. Sometimes they are manually created through the use of macros. Bots enable players to automate character actions, in a loop. Now macros also allow players to automate character actions, and in this sense they are perfectly harmless. But if, for example, a loop was made that would make the character automatically attack and kill the nearest enemy, loot it and then repeat those actions over and over, this would be considered a bot. Both hacks and bots are deemed illegal by all MMORPGs, and will most likely result in account deletion. Exploits. Exploits are ¡®mistakes¡¯ or loopholes within the game mechanics that allow players to do certain things which were not intended by the original developers. For example, if the developers had overlooked a small programming anomaly which dealt with a chest respawn rate when leaving and re-entering a dungeon immediately, this might result in an exploit where players could loot the chest multiple times within a very short time period. Exploits are generally not seen as being anywhere near as serious as bots or hacks, but taking advantage of them sometimes results in a short suspension of the account in question.
