WoW Shaman Guide The Shaman is a unique class available only to the Horde, much like the Paladin is available only to the Alliance. Shamans, similar to Druids, draw upon the power of spirits and the land to defeat their foes and aid their party. Unlike Druids, Shamans are hardier, can wear heavier armor and have far more offensive capabilities. Only Trolls, Orcs and Tauren can become Shamans. Their truly unique power is the creation of Totems. Totems are immobile objects that perform functions within a small radius of where they are planted. These effects range from buffing the party's attributes and resistances, slowing down or directly harming enemies, reducing party agro and absorbing or dispelling harmful effects. The diversity of available Totems can be truly staggering and the best Shamans make full use of this unique ability. When a Shaman wants to unleash the full potential of his or her damage dealing capabilities, very few things stand in their way. Hurling bolts of draw lightning, and shocking opponents with earth, fire or frost, Shamans can dish out the hurt using spells or melee. Even though they are strong spell casters, Shamans can also deal devastating melee damage, especially with their Windfury Totem which grants them free attacks! They are also very capable healers, especially those who specialize in the Restoration line. While they are not as strong as Druids or Priests, it is still not uncommon to find Shamans only performing healing duties in a group or a raid. Overall, the Shaman is a truly diverse class, capable of performing many functions. Shamans are welcome in many groups, helping to round out and compliment the abilities of many other classes. Here at CCXGames.com, we have logged thousands of hours playing up Shaman characters and know all of their characteristics and strengths. We can help you advance your Shaman character to raid level status in no time, able to performing vital functions against some of Azeroth's most fearsome foes like Razorgore the Untamed and Vaelastrasz the Corrupt.
